Shelby is originally from Greensboro, North Carolina and started her formal dance training at the North Carolina School of the Arts. While in school, she had the opportunity to perform principal roles in ballets choreographed by George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Ethan Stiefel, and more. Upon graduation, she became a professional ballet dancer with the Sarasota Ballet.
Since shifting her focus to musical theater and moving to New York City, she has worked professionally with Tony Award winning directors and choreographers such as Susan Stroman and Casey Nicholaw. Some of her favorite credits include performing in the new musical The Prom, dancing on Saturday Night Live, and performing as a Radio City Rockette in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Shelby, a BBS client since 2014, has completed the 8 week body transformation program and knows first hand how BBS can change bodies and change lives! She is ecstatic to now be a part of the BBS family of instructors!
